Abstract: This is a broad-based case study of PhonePe, an Indian fintech company a leading player in the Indian digital payments industry. This case study provides an in-depth analysis of PhonePe's history, growth trajectory, challenges, and prospects, with a focus on the company's business model, competition, and strategic decisions. The case study is designed for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programs at business schools. By using this case study, students will gain a better understanding of the Indian fintech industry, and the challenges and opportunities facing digital payments companies in India. The teaching notes outline a range of pedagogical approaches, provides multiple assessment samples, rubrics and templates for formative and summative assessments and feedback forms.
