Abstract:This case study offers valuable insights into the dynamics of entrepreneurship and innovation in the beauty industry by tracing the entrepreneurial journey of Swagatika Das, co-founder of NatHabit, which is a pioneering brand in India's beauty and wellness sector. Entrepreneurial ventures in India are crucial for fostering economic growth, job creation, and innovation. By providing platforms for students to actualize their ideas, these ventures significantly contribute to the country's development. They stimulate competition, drive technological advancements, and enhance productivity, leading to a more dynamic and resilient economy. It highlights Das's transition from an engineering graduate from IIT Kharagpur, with professional experience at Schlumberger and Apple, to co-founding NatHabit in 2019. The brand, known for its fresh, natural skincare products without chemical preservatives, faces unique logistical challenges in distribution. Despite significant growth and funding, NatHabit must navigate supply chain expansion, competitive differentiation, and market penetration while maintaining authenticity and quality.
