Dr Anuja Pandey Choice of the case is important. Many case studies can be developed around sustainability, vaccine development, public health, supply chain disruption, the sector-wise impact of covid and their solutions. Real solutions to the issues should be catered. Creation of cases using the right multimedia tools is important. Collaborations in case writing need prudence.
The ultimate objective of a case is to be taught. The pandemic added as a catalyst to adapt to digital teaching. Cases should be short and interesting and decision focused. Students might be distracted so the choice of case is crutial such as multimedia cases that serve multiple purposes.
Dr. Raj stated that globalisation and technology have created competitiveness and have given us tech based models which uses AI, Big Data, etc. Unannounced recession because of low demand, unemployment, supply chain disruption, will pose a challenge in the future, therefore, improved models should be adopted considering technology trends.
Sudhenshu talked about the challenges such as being restrained from field work and opportunities such as availability of data online, newness of data and techniques in regards to pandemic times. He taught that for case writing, create a story, be narrative, use visuals and quantified data.
Gita bajaj started that students keeping their videos off and bandwidth issues as challenges. Students mistake discussing preparatory casework over messaging. Teachers should define ground rules, record classes, give breaks, seek suggestions and take advantage of engagement tools like polls, videos, charts etc for effective case writing.L
